Fit Notes & Tips

Between Sizes?

We always recommend sizing up. Our pieces are designed with ease of movement in mind — never restrict.

Fabric & Stretch

Our signature jacquard has minimal stretch. Woven styles follow measurements closely. Knits allow one size of flexibility.

Swim Sizing

Swimwear fits snugly. If your bust and hips differ by more than 2 sizes, size to your larger measurement.

Model Reference

Our models are typically 5'9" and wear a size S or XS. Height affects drape and hem length.

How to Measure

Measure around the fullest part of your chest, tape horizontal and parallel to the floor. Do not compress.

Waist

Find the narrowest point of your torso, usually 1 inch above the navel. Measure standing relaxed.

Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat, approx. 7–9 inches below your natural waist.

Pro Tip

Always measure over undergarments, not bare skin or outer clothing. Measure twice for accuracy.

Returns

All new customers receive free returns and exchanges with free shipping over $200.

We happily accept returns in original condition (unused, unworn, and unaltered) with tags and liners attached for either a refund, store credit, or a one time exchange. All items must be returned in the original condition and packaging they were sent with the tags and hygienic liners attached. All returns must be made within 14 days after the date of fulfillment. The refund, store credit, or exchange will be processed within 14 business days from the date of the returned package. All returns incur a restocking fee of $7.00 per order and we do not refund any shipping fees. All exchanges are free of charge and allowed within 21 days of fulfillment.

Please make sure to include the original invoice with your return. We reserve the right to refuse returns on items that have been worn, soiled, laundered or altered in any way.

I am an international customer, what is your return policy?

This policy applies to any location outside of the US. We happily accept returns in original condition (unused, unworn, and unaltered) with tags and liners attached for a refund back to the original payment method for the item returned. We do not offer exchanges for international purchases. We do not refund back shipping, taxes, or duties and we do not cover the return postage fees. If there is an active sale or marked down items, please refer to our sale return policy. All return requests must be made within 14 days after the date of delivery. The refund will be processed within 14 business days from the date of the returned package.

All scarves and accessories are items are final sale. Items that are purchased on sale are final sale. They cannot be returned or exchanged, and no exceptions will be made for any fit or sizing issues.

Tracking

As soon as your order has been shipped, a shipping confirmation will be emailed to you. In the email, we provide you with a UPS tracking number. At this time we are unable to ship orders to General Delivery, P.O. Boxes, APO, FPO, U.S Territories. Orders made to any of these addresses will be cancelled. La Porte ships to both U.S. and international addresses. To estimate the total delivery time for your order, please allow two business days for your order to be processed, in addition to the time indicated by your preferred shipping method (UPS Standard Shipping (Delivered by UPS SurePost), UPS Next Day, International). Orders are processed and delivered Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Overnight orders placed before 2pm EST will be shipped the same day as the order was placed. We only offer expedited shipping within the continental United States. Quoted international shipping fees do not include custom & duty fees.
